Photos and videos play a big role in providing online services, telling the story of Christ Church, enhancing church communications, and giving first-time guests an idea of what to expect when they attend our church. As a part of our mission to lift lives, elevate Christ, and be a church for those not here yet, we may use your likeness to promote or celebrate our church, worship services, and ministry events at Christ Church in Mequon.

The church streams and records services every Sunday and often photographs or records our various ministry activities, events, and programs. We use this media to create church-produced materials including, but not limited to, websites, social media, posters, flyers, email newsletters, newspaper ads, and invite cards. Accordingly, participation in church activities implies permission for the use of any media recorded, unless a “Media Opt-Out Form” has been submitted to the church office (see below).

While we reserve the right to photograph and record church events, in an effort to respect your privacy, we will strive to adhere to the following guidelines:

Any adult may complete the Media Opt-Out Form if they do not wish for the likeness of themselves, adults in their charge, or minor children, to be prominently featured in materials produced by Christ Church.

We will not knowingly post anything that would be embarrassing, objectionable, or hurtful to anyone in a photo or video.

We do not identify children or youth by name or any other identifying information in the photos and videos we use in online or printed materials. If a name tag is visible in a photo, it will be removed with editing software.

We will gladly remove any photo or video upon request from our online sites. If you see a photo that includes you or your child and would like it removed from the site, please email communications@christchurchmequon.org with the details.

Submit the form below only if you do not want images of yourself, vulnerable adults under your care, or your minor children used in any Christ Church electronic or print publications. Please upload a photo of each person to be opted out so that we can identify them.
